Can’t Log Into Your PTZOptics Camera or Joystick After a Firmware Update? Fix It Here

Camera:

The latest firmware version for this camera requires you to set a password. When logging into the camera's web interface for the first time, a popup window should appear, prompting you to create and confirm a password (password requirements can be found [ HERE ].

If this popup does not appear at the login screen or you just get a black screen while logging in, try accessing the interface in a private or incognito browser window. If the issue persists, clearing your browser cache may help.

If a previous password is already set or the password setup window does not appear, you may need to reset the password. In the latest firmware, you can perform a network reset using the handheld remote control by pressing ( * + # + Manual ). This will reboot the camera, and after restarting, the password setup window should appear. Please note that this reset will restore the camera to DHCP mode .


Joystick:

The latest firmware version for this joystick requires you to set a password. When logging into the joystick's web interface for the first time, a popup window should appear, prompting you to create and confirm a password (password requirements can be found [ HERE ].

If this popup does not appear at the login screen or you just get a black screen while logging in, try accessing the interface in a private or incognito browser window. If the issue persists, clearing your browser cache may help.

If the issue continues, you may need to perform a factory reset. The factory restore option can be used to do this from the "Setup" menu on the joystick itself. Please note this will reset everything on your joystick.
